The TUCON 2008 General Session will include a keynote presentation by TIBCO's founder and CEO Vivek Ranadivé on realizing the vision of real-time and predictive business; a discussion of TIBCO's product vision and roadmap by TIBCO executives as well as external executive speakers from Citibank, Carphone Warehouse, Infosys, BMC Software and Allstate Insurance. Your TUCON master of ceremonies this year will be Tom Laffey, Executive Vice President of Products and Technology.

Mr. Ranadivé founded TIBCO in 1985 with the vision of bringing real-time technology into the mainstream. His New York Times business bestseller The Power of Now: How Winning Companies Sense and Respond to Change Using Real-time Technology (McGraw-Hill, 1999) has been used in academia and the subject of numerous interviews.

Kris Gopalakrishnan

S. (Kris) Gopalakrishnan

CEO and Managing Director, Infosys Technologies Ltd.

Kris Gopalakrishnan is one of the founders of Infosys Technologies Limited, a highly respected consulting, IT services, and business process management company operating in the global market. He has played a key role in defining the company's overall strategy and in using technology and innovation to maintain industry leadership. Mr. Gopalakrishnan is active on numerous technology boards, including his role as chairman of the Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Kerala.

Margam Sundararajan

Chief Architect, International Technology Group, GCG, Citigroup

Margam Sundararajan (Sundar) heads the Architecture Framework and Infrastructure group in the International Technology Organization for the Global Consumer Group. In addition to being the chief architect, he heads the SOA/BPM practice, new technology incubation and frameworks. He joined Citigroup in 1994 as assistant VP with the Regional Card Center Citibank, Singapore.

Anthony Abbattista

VP Technology Solutions, Allstate

Anthony Abbattista has responsibility for Allstate's enterprise technology strategy, information services, technical architecture, technology governance and infrastructure. Prior to Allstate, Mr. Abbattista was a senior partner at DiamondCluster International. He also spent eight years at Andersen Consulting in its emerging technology group, where he was an associate partner.

CTO, Carphone Warehouse

Simon Post joined Carphone Warehouse as CTO in 2005. Previously, Mr. Post was Group IT and Strategy Director at BSkyB, where he was responsible for the company's IT platform and technical strategy. He has also served at Atomic Tangerine, a spin-off from Stanford Research Institute and Sarnoff, and at Arthur Andersen, where he was one of the partners responsible for running global e-business and advanced technology teams.

Robert E. Beauchamp

President and CEO, BMC Software

Robert "Bob" Beauchamp joined BMC Software in 1988 as a sales executive and he rose rapidly, serving in key leadership positions in research and development, strategic marketing and corporate development. Named to lead BMC in 2001, Beauchamp led the company's highly successful transformation from a mainframe tools vendor to one that delivers the industry's most strategic enterprise management and automation solutions, enabling customers to automate their IT and prove its business value. Beauchamp currently serves on the boards of National Oilwell Varco, Memorial-Hermann Hospital System, Texas Medical Center and the New York Stock Exchange's International Advisory Committee. He serves in a number of prominent industry and civic organizations.

Mr. Laffey is responsible for engineering, global support and educational services. He has over 25 years experience in software and published more than 30 articles in recognized scientific publications. He has an M.S. in Computer Science from Virginia Polytechnic and a B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Michigan.
